Driving along a snowy mountain pass in a truck

The Escape Vol. 44

In celebration of the subtle art of ritual coffee making, going to where the snow is and a few words on the good of planting trees. We’ve clocked up another rotation around the sun so thoughts inevitably have turned to intentions—good we hope—to take into the new-ish year. Here we brew up a shortlist of all that, plus a large earful of tunes as chosen by our Roamers Collective.

There’s pleasure in the little things, the everyday acts and rituals that waymark the day. Take your morning coffee - we take ours stove-top, thanks for asking. A set of fluid motions that feel almost second nature; pulling a mug down from the shelf, unscrewing the pot, grinding the beans and hearing the ‘click click’ of the hob firing. It’s a meditative flow state to start the day, done your way. Oh, and don’t overlook a good read in the AM - Advanture Mag Issue 13 anyone?

2. Shameless Self-Promotion: Snow Collection ‘25

We’re proud of it so we’re pluggin’ it. We hope you find meaningful escapism in our Snow Collection ‘25. Here’s a few lines from one of our very own mountain-minded:

“Having the best day with your pals when the sun is out, the snow is fresh, and everyone's excited; thinking about nothing other than what's under our feet and in front of our eyes.”

~ LAURA, CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER

3. Wildsam’s Big List Of Après-Ski Spots

“Name’s Henry, who’s asking…”

The alpine life and all things nice, lovingly described by the folk at WILDSAM. Tuck into the delights of the après-ski and the tradition of putting feet up, planks to the side. Tipple, anyone?

“That special confluence of environmental factors—the place, the temperature, the tastes and the communal engagement—making a lovely stew of ahh.”

4. Two Million Trees & Counting…

A man stood below a green, lush forest canopy

We’ve surpassed the two million mark - 2,003,006 to be exact. An incredible achievement that’s all down to you, our community believing in what we do and how we do it, plus our tree-planting partners putting in the hard graft. This year, we plan to share heaps more on Plant & Protect. Stay tuned…
